At 100ft, Freeport, Grand Bahama, is the deepest Harbour on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States and is capable of docking Post-Panamax III ships and VLCCs. 65 miles off the coast of Florida, it is in the World’s 6th Busiest Shipping Lane.
Clean Marine Group has developed a modular, containerised Port Reception Facility that can safely and efficiently process all types of liquid MARPOL waste streams, surpassing the most stringent environmental standards whilst using less than one KW/hr of electricity to do so.
Our Hydrocarbon Recovery Plant and tank farm will have the capacity to process 120,000 tons of oily waste per annum and 97% of the oil we recover will be recycled or re-used.
Clean Marine Group has secured the Grand Bahama Port Authority License to operate a MARPOL Port Reception Facility in Freeport Harbour, Bahamas. The first of its kind in the Caribbean, it will process an estimated 70,000,000 gallons of waste p.a., from Cruise ships and other commercial vessels that call in for service or repair.
Ships are met either by road tanker or barge and all ships slops, tank washings, ballast water, effluent and oily wastes are offloaded.
Once removed from the ship, the waste is tested for its composition and an appropriate course of treatment chosen.
Resulting outputs include commodity standard IFO180 oil, decanted sludge and potable water for re-use.
